Below is a list of open positions for the CHPA Legal Unit. Description of what activities and responsibilities each position implies follows. Feel free to offer your help and expertise, and join the project.
Please note that the positions descriptions presented outline only major responsibilities that may change over time. Also new additional responsibilities will most certainly emerge so take this into consideration.
Unit Leader will coordinate and supervise Legal Unit activities and will have at least the following major responsibilities:
- giving legal advice and making final decisions on if any media material can be added to the archive
- mentoring new unit members
- coordinating unit members' activities
- attending project meetings
- providing information on progress and results of unit activities
- communicating with members of other project units
- communicating with bands when necessary
- communicating with press & public
An ideal candidate will possess educational training in legal field, have real-life experience with copyright laws of various countries of the world, outstanding social and organizational skills, a 1+ year experience working as a Unit or Team Leader, a passion for hardcore music and sub-culture, enough free time to take on the outlined responsibilities, share project core believes, excellent knowledge of written and spoken English is a must.
Country Specific Legal Advisor will give legal advice only for multimedia submissions originating from his country of operation or interest. We're welcoming more than one person to work cooperatively. Ideally we'd love to have at least one person responsible for each country where submissions originated from. Major responsibilities of Country Specific Legal Advisor are:
- providing legal advice to bands, project members and Unit Leader on request
- making assessment of eligibility of multimedia submissions to the archive in accordance with Multimedia Hosting Policy
- informing Unit Leader of the results of assessment and submitting them for final consideration
- attending unit meetings
An ideal candidate will possess educational training in legal field, have real-life experience with copyright laws of countries of operation or interest, great attention to detail, a real-life experience of dealing with similar legal issues, a passion for hardcore music and sub-culture, enough free time to take on the outlined responsibilities, share project core believes, good knowledge of at least written English is a must.
